Three

Three

Back in March my little JoeJoe turned three years old. You always hear about the terrible twos and some people even say that age three is worse. Age three has brought me a boy that is full of love, personality and even a little attitude. Joe goes to preschool now where in less than a year he has already learned how to count way beyond 20 and the entire alphabet. He says the days of the week and the months of the year, he does all of these things in English and Spanish as well. He loves to do his homework and makes sure to clean his room before bed. He definitely has a temper still but we are learning to listen to each other so there are less tears all around.

We moved into a new apartment about a month ago and he loves having his own room finally. He makes a huge mess but always makes sure to clean it all up afterward. he really takes pride in taking care of his things.  This little boy continues to amaze me every single day.

Joseph and I recently spent an entire week in Orlando with my family. Since we are Annual Paasholders at Walt Disney World we like to go often. On this particular trip we got to enjoy the Food and Wine festival at EPCOT.

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival happens annually usually between September and November. You can read more about it here. There are different booths added between the regular countries with food and drinks from all over the globe.  Read more

Bow holder DIY

Bow holder DIY

I may be a mom but I still love bows! They aren’t just for the kids. I have quite a few bows and was having a hard time keeping them together or out of Joseph’s hands. So I got on Pinterest to gather ideas and found a few DIY projects that were pretty easy.

I started off with an old picture frame and painted it black. You don’t need to keep the glass and backing of the frame for this project.

Next, I measured out ribbon the same length as the frame, I chose to do mine horizontal but you could easily do it vertically as well. Read more

Up Your Anchor

Today’s post is about not only one of my favorite Etsy shops, but a little about the amazing woman that runs it. She also happens to be one of our best friends. Jessica Vaughn is the owner of Up Your Anchor, a nautical jewelry company. She has always had a love for the ocean and it truly shows in each piece that she hand makes!

Sweet twist on crescent rolls
A couple nights ago after Joseph fell asleep I really wanted something sweet. Currently, our kitchen is being remodeled. So that means that baking a cake or cookies like I would have loved is out of the question. I’m mostly using a microwave and toaster oven for any cooking and baking, which makes things a little more challenging. However, after looking through my refrigerator and pantry I found some crescent rolls and cookie butter and that’s when a light went off and I came up with this easy but yummy recipe.
